Photo Center NW is partnering with EMP on the opening night of Martin Schoeller: Close Up, which is on view at EMP November 16, 2013–February 16, 2014. The opening night is on November 15th, and Photo Center will have a portrait booth with photographer Steve Davis, with the help of Sony Snaplab. Join us in celebrating this exhibition, get your portrait taken and discuss and explore portraiture with our staff.

Celebrate the opening of EMP’s Martin Schoeller: Close Up with images of the world’s most identifiable faces and a slew of portrait-themed activities.
Martin Schoeller’s large-scale photographic headshots put some of the most recognizable faces from cinema, the sports field, the political podium, and the arena of rock alongside American teens and tribespeople from Tanzania and the Amazon.
Attend Close Up: Opening Night to snap your own Schoeller inspired self-portrait; step into the studio and explore the world of portraiture with Photo Center NW and photographer Steve Davis; go face-to-face with Seattle Met’s photobooth; sketch a celebrity headshot in Ryan Molenkamp’s The Portrait Challenge; and enjoy electronic dance grooves from KEXP’s DJ Riz; and be among the first to see Martin Schoeller: Close Up (opens to the public November 16, 2013).
